Cake Challenge is a Success!

The Membership Committee has been having a scrumptious spring so far with the Cake Collation Challenge! At the beginning of this calendar year, Membership Chairman Alfredo Canhoto challenged lodges around the area to sponsor their Master Masons to join the Valley of Boston at the Spring Reunion. For every lodge that sponsored two or more brothers, a cake would be hand delivered at a collation later in the year. With eight lodges rising to the challenge, a lot of great cake has been eaten!

Cornerstone Ceremony is Wednesday

To say that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity is an understatement. The Cornerstone Ceremony that the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts is putting on next Wednesday, June 17, is something that has only happened once since the State House's inception. If history or supporting the Masonic community is your cup of tea, then there isn't a reason to miss this historic event.

The Cornerstone was uncovered in December of 2014 year during reconstruction and was found with a time capsule from then Grand Master Paul Revere. The capsule included several items from the late eighteenth century. It has been recovered and interred only once before now. Who knows when the next time this historic vault will be unearthed again?

The Grand Lodge of Massachusetts is encouraging all brethren, if within the length of their cable tow, to attend and show support. We want everyone to know that Freemasonry isn't something that was, but something that IS. A registration page bas been created on www.massmasons.org for everyone to count themselves in. You can also go to their Facebook event for further information.
