Thank You

I want to take a minute of your time to say “thank you” to the members of Massachusetts Consistory and the Valley of Boston. I have had a truly wonderful three years as Commander-in-Chief and that is due to the many, many members – both old friends and new – whose tireless work always exceeded expectations.

I would like to thank the Past Commanders-in-Chief for their advice, assistance, and friendship for the past twelve years.

To the officers of Massachusetts Consistory, a huge thank you for your amazing work and support.

To the Choir, Degree Workers, and Guard: Massachusetts Consistory could not survive without you. Your enthusiasm is infectious and is what makes it all worth while.

To the Production Crew and Medics: You do so much behind the scenes and I want you to know that your contribution does not go unnoticed. The work that our members see is just the tip of the iceberg. Your dedication to the Valley of Boston and Massachusetts Consistory is what makes it all possible.

To the Knights of St. Andrew, the newest organization to join the Consistory family, I want to congratulate the officers and members for the fine work that you have done during our degree days and the special events that you sponsor. I look forward to seeing you continue to grow and achieve great things.

On behalf of myself and the previous two Past Commanders-in-Chief, Ill∴ James R. Franklin, 33º and Ill∴ Peter R. Smith, 33º MSA, I would like to extend a special thank you to our retiring Captain of the Guard, Bro. Will Currier, for his 34 years of service in the Guard, the last nine of which were as Captain of the Guard. Under his command, the Guard has flourished.

And finally to the Commander-in-Chief elect, Ill. Roy J. Leone, 33º, I wish you a fun-filled and rewarding term over the next three years. I am confident that with the support of all the groups mentioned above, Massachusetts Consistory will continue to thrive and prosper under your leadership.

To borrow a line from the DeMolay Installation service, “From the ranks you come and to the ranks you will soon return.” I look forward to returning to the ranks and continuing to work with my many dear friends and brothers.

Fraternally,

Tomorrow's Agenda

Tomorrow is the celebration of a successful year for our valley. The Valley of Boston saw two great classes of men join the Scottish Rite, a plethora of exciting events, and advances in our theatrical performances. Tomorrow also marks the beginning of a new year for the valley and anticipation for how we will make everything we do, better.

Starting a 3:00 p.m., Most Worshipful Harvey John Waugh and Ill∴ Donald M. Moran, 33° will lead the Installation of Officers. David Elsner, 32° Arthur Bisenti, 32° and George Hamilton, 32° will continue on as heads of their respective bodies. Roy Leone, 33° will become the Commander in Chief of Massachusetts Consistory.

If you plan on driving into Grand Lodge for the afternoon, make sure to park at either the Ritz Parking Garage (next to Grand Lodge) or the Boston Common Garage. Vouchers for free parking will be available for both garages. Please make arraignments to arrive earlier than normal as parking will be at a premium tomorrow afternoon. Add in an extra fifteen to thirty minutes to allow time to find a parking spot in the crowded lots.
