Membership Applications Due Oct. 25th

This week is your last opportunity to join Scottish Rite with your lodge brothers at the Grand Master’s Class on November 2nd! Each of the four bodies of the Valley of Boston have been diligently rehearsing for their degrees at the Grand Master’s Class which makes for impressive degrees that you do not want to miss.

If you would like to invite a brother to join Scottish Rite, send them this fillable application. They can choose a mode of payment and return it to the Valley of Boston office by tomorrow, October 25, 2013.

Applications received after that date will be accepted as long as they are postmarked by Friday, October 25, 2013. If you decide not to send your application by mail, you can either e-mail the application to the Valley of Boston office or fax it to the Valley office at 617.426.8229. If you have any further questions or concerns about the Grand Master’s Class on November 2nd, call the Valley of Boston office (open Monday through Friday) at 617.426.8228.

Why "Go" Scottish Rite?

The Valley of Boston offers many opportunities for members to participate in the Valley. There are four concordant bodies to choose from: Boston Lafayette Lodge of Perfection, Giles F. Yates Council Princes of Jerusalem, Mount Olivet Chapter of Rose Croix, and Massachusetts Consistory. With luck, you could have the opportunity to be an officer for one body or a degree worker for another.

One of the best reasons to join Scottish Rite is the brotherhood. While Masonic Lodges are local, Valleys are regional. The Valley of Boston occupies an area of nearly 65 cities and towns in Massachusetts. This not only allows you to join the Valley of Boston with your Lodge brothers, but also gives you the opportunity to meet and become brothers with many other Freemasons throughout Massachusetts, extending and expanding your brotherhood to a regional and state level.

Following the tour, Jim Orgettas, the Junior Warden, was a gracious host to the guests. He sat down with the group to talk about the Rite and answer any questions about involvement in the Valley in general, and Princes in particular.

"One of the benefits of getting involved in Scottish Rite is...
