A Note from the Family Life Chairman!

Greetings Brethren,
 
The Family Life Committee has been hard at work planning many exciting events for the end of this year and the for upcoming year. We will end the year with a Children’s Christmas Party on December 2nd at Grand Lodge. The festivities will begin at noon with a showing of The Polar Express on the LED screen in Gothic Hall. At 1 p.m. the party begins in the Grand Master’s Banquet Hall with games, face painting, photo booth, candy table, a visit from Santa and more. An unwrapped gift for the Shriners Hospital is requested. 
 
On December 16th we have planned an event at Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth NH. It is a historic 10-acre outdoor museum with 300+ years of American history. This event begins at 5 p.m. and includes a candlelight stroll, craft demonstrations, ice skating, caroling, cider house, bonfire, children’s treasure hunt, tours of historic homes and much more. You will receive a food voucher to be used at the Fig Tree Café. Parking is free with shuttle service to and from the event. Strawbery Banke is also home to the original Grand Lodge of New Hampshire. Reservations are due by December 2, 2017. Cost for this event is $20 per adult and $7 children (5-7). This is a rain/snow/sleet or sun event.
 
Our next event is January 19-20, 2018 at Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, MA. This is an overnight event at the indoor water park, which consists of the Howlin’ Tornado, Wolf Trail, Fort Mackenzie, River Canyon Run, Alberta Falls, Otter Run, North Hot Springs, Crooked Creek and other attractions.  Guest can arrive at 1 p.m on Friday and enjoy all the amenities of the water park. Check-in is a 4 p.m. A buffet style dinner will be served from 6-8 p.m. in a private dining area after which you can enjoy the water park until closing. In the morning enjoy a buffet style breakfast from 8-10 a.m. in a private dining area. Check out is at 11 a.m. Lockers are provided so you can enjoy the water park for the rest of the day. This is the perfect Holiday gift. Cost for this event is $40 per person based on 4 per room. Reservations are due no later than December 16, 2017.
