News From Supreme Council

Tuesday, September 1, marked the conclusion of our Supreme Council’s Annual Session. Last evening The Northern Masonic Jurisdiction elected four men from the Valley of Boston to become Illustrious Brothers and receive their 33° in Rochester, NY in 2017. We would like to take a moment to congratulate William Currier, David Elsner, George Hamilton and Ernest Pearlstein on this wonderful honor.

William Currier
Bro. Currier joined North Reading Lodge in 1978. Since then, Will has affiliated with six other lodges. He has served as Worshipful Master for three different lodges: The DeMolay Lodge (twice), North Reading Lodge and Frank W. Thompson Lodge. He was appointed by Grand Master Jeffrey Hodgdon as the District Deputy Grand Master of the 14th Masonic District in 2007. Will joined the Valley of Boston in 1980. Once joining, he served the Consistory Guard as a Guard for 32 years and Captain for 9.

David Elsner
David Elsner was raised in Wollaston Lodge (now merged with Rural Lodge) in 1966. While he began his journey through the progressive line as a Wollaston Lodge officer, he finished as the Worshipful Master of Rural Lodge (2004-05). Grand Master Jeffrey Hodgdon appointed Bro. Elsner as the District Deputy Grand Master of the 8th Masonic District in 2005. David joined the Valley of Boston way back in 1970 and has been active ever since. He is the sitting Thrice Potent Master of Boston Lafayette Lodge of Perfection.

George Hamilton
Bro. Hamilton was raised in Alpha Lodge in 1984 and served for two terms as Worshipful Master (88-89, 89-90). Grand Master Jeffrey Hodgdon selected George as the Grand Standard Bearer for the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts in 2006. It took only fourteen months for Bro. Hamilton from being raised to when he joined Scottish Rite in the Valley of Boston; faithfully serving the valley in general and Rose Croix in particular. He currently serves as your Most Wise Master of Mount Olivet Chapter of Rose Croix.

Ernest Pearlstein
Ernie Pearlstein was raised in 1979 into Revere Lodge (now The Consolidated Lodge). He has served as Worshipful Master five times for three different lodges (once for Revere Lodge twice for Mount Scopus and Euclid Lodges). Grand Master Albert Ames selected Bro. Pearlstein to serve as the District Deputy Grand Master of the 2nd Masonic District in 1988. Ernie joined the Valley of Boston the same year he was raised as a Master Mason. Since then, he worked on the Valley of Boston's Membership Committee, along with countless volunteer hours as a clown for children in Shriner’s Hospitals.

These men have labored for many years in the vineyards of Freemasonry and this honor is rightfully deserved to all of them. We hope that they will continue their work to vindicate the wisdom of their selections.
