Be a Brother, Greet a Brother

A conversation that never goes away is how to bring in new men to our organizations. One task that we need to be thinking about on Saturday, and beyond, is how to keep those men involved. Membership retention is an important aspect of what we do and how we grow.

We all joined Freemasonry and Scottish Rite for different reasons. One of the biggest reasons we got stayed involved is the brotherhood; making a connection with others and forming true friendship. The great part is that it doesn’t take much to begin laying the foundation for a lasting brotherhood. If you see a new brother, walk up to him and say hello and begin a conversation. Not the best at one-on-one conversation? Create a group dialogue with brothers you already know! Creating that dialogue gives our new brother a sense of belonging and ease.

Our brotherhood is a major driving point in Freemasonry and Scottish Rite. We need to make sure that brotherhood is extended to all our members. While one conversation may have a small impact, many conversations can leave a lasting impression.
