As I write you a few lines, I see bare trees and white on Boston Common. As beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the snow scenes are beautiful for those that love it, and for they of another thinking, this too shall pass.
This week commences our 2015 Valley Degree work. The Officers of Boston Lafayette Lodge of Perfection will exemplify the 14° degree Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Grand Lodge Building in Boston, Massachusetts. The Thrice Potent Master, Brother David S. Elsner, 32° has an outstanding program planned for members, candidates, and ladies attending. The morning will include breakfast, Degree work, a gemologist will appraise items (no sales) for the ladies during the work and then all will enjoy entertainment and terrific food and be done by noon. Even if you have not yet registered to attend and wish now to do so, you may, as the hospitality of Perfection is always outstanding to all.
Some other bits of information are that the spring 2015 “Notice of Meetings” is at the printer so it will not be long to our Spring Reunion on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Your notice will include several inserts, one of which will instruct you in the computer (preferred) response method to make reservations. Doing so allows us to plan more accurately for food and seating. Now is also an excellent the time to speak with a lodge Brother who would enjoy Scottish Rite. Not only will it benefit him and your Valley, it could even mean a Brother to share the ride with on Degree day.
Dues…. With March only days away, second dues notices are soon to follow. If you forgot to pay your 2015 dues in the fall, or received a second dues notice, please respond in a timely manner. Every member’s dues are important and are needed in order to maintain the quality degrees and Valley events we all enjoy. Many Thanks.
I look forward to seeing you soon and be careful on the ice and snow.
In Good Fellowship,
