Ill∴ Brother Elected as Grand Master


The Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts held its annual election of Grand Lodge Officers at the Grand Lodge Annual Communication on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. The Valley of Boston wishes to congratulate Ill∴ Bro. Harvey J. Waugh, 33o, who was elected to serve as the 88th Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts.  

 

Bro. Waugh began his Masonic career as a member of Melrose Chapter of DeMolay in Massachusetts. He rose to the highest office of a Chapter, Master Councilor, during his time in DeMolay. He is a recipient of the Degree of Chevalier for outstanding activity and labor for DeMolay. He is also a recipient of the Legion of Honor for outstanding service for DeMolay and humanity. 

 

Bro. Waugh was raised in 1968 in Wyoming Lodge in Melrose, MA, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1978. He served as the Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts as Deputy Grand Master in 2005. That same year, he received the Henry Price Medal.

Valley Men Elected as Grand Wardens

 

At the Grand Lodge Annual Communication on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, the Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts held its annual election of Grand Lodge Officers. The Valley of Boston wishes to congratulate two Valley men (among others) who were elected to Grand Lodge offices for 2014.

 

Kenneth W. Pfeiffer32o, Grand Sword Bearer, was elected to the office of Junior Grand Warden for the 2014 year. Bro. Pfeiffer was raised in 1978 in Frank W. Thompson Lodge in Bedford, MA, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2003. Bro. Pfeiffer became a member of the Valley of Boston in a one day class in December of 1980. Bro. Pfeiffer served as a member of the Consistory Guard and is an Assistant Master of Ceremonies for Massachusetts Consistory.

 

Thomas A. Stark32oGrand Marshal, was elected to the office of Senior Grand Warden for the 2014 year. Bro. Stark was raised in 1973 in Norfolk Lodge in Needham, MA, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1990. Bro. Stark became a member of the Valley of Boston in a one day class in December of 1989. As of today, Bro. Stark has been a member of the Valley of Boston for 24 years.

Family Life Update - Celtics Game

 

The Valley of Boston Family Life Committee, headed by Bro. Alfredo Canhoto, has been diligently working. The committee has held several meetings since their previous Family Life event at Canobie Lake Park in August. In these meetings, the members of the committee come up with new ideas that the members of the Valley of Boston have not yet experienced.

 

The Family Life Committee invites you to a night out in Boston to watch a Celtics Game at the TD Garden on March 14, 2014. Before the game, enjoy complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages in the West End room in the Garden at 5:30 PM. Tip-off between the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns will be at 7:30 PM.

 

Through the Family Life Committee, you can purchase a loge ($75) or balcony ($30) ticket to the game which will include pre-game fun in the West End room and a commemorative t-shirt. The deadline to purchase tickets is February 1, 2014. There will be a limited number of tickets available, so purchase yours now!
