Ill∴ Bro. Elected as Grand Master

The Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts held its annual election of Grand Lodge Officers at the Grand Lodge Annual Communication on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. The Valley of Boston wishes to congratulate Ill∴ Bro. Harvey J. Waugh, 33o, who was elected to serve as the 88th Grand Master of Masons in Massachusetts.  

Bro. Waugh began his Masonic career as a member of Melrose Chapter of DeMolay in Massachusetts. He rose to the highest office of a Chapter, Master Councilor, during his time in DeMolay. He is a recipient of the Degree of Chevalier for outstanding activity and labor for DeMolay. He is also a recipient of the Legion of Honor for outstanding service for DeMolay and humanity. 

Bro. Waugh was raised in 1968 in Wyoming Lodge in Melrose, MA, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1978. He served the Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts as Deputy Grand Master in 2005. That same year, he received the Henry Price Medal. 

Ill∴ Bro. Waugh became a member of the Valley of Boston in a one day class in October of 1968. He served as Sovereign Prince of Giles F. Yates Council Princes of Jerusalem from 1989 to 1992. On September 24, 1991, Ill∴ Harvey J. Waugh, 33owas elected as an Honorary Member of the Supreme Council for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction.

Bro. Harvey J. Waugh will be installed at the Grand Lodge Stated Communication on December 27, 2013 in Boston. The Installation of Officers will be followed with the Feast of Saint John the Evangelist.
