Most Wise Master Receives 33º Designation

Philip A. Drouin was elected to receive the 33rd Degree along with 173 other Scottish Rite Masons at the Supreme Council Session for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction in Cleveland this week. The 174 men who were unanimously elected to become Sovereign Grand Inspectors General will receive the honorary degree on August 20, 2013 in Washington D.C. next summer.

As honorary members of the Supreme Council, each man who was elected to receive his 33rd has been recognized for his outstanding service to the organization in a highly appropriate fashion. It is an ancient custom to give honors to those whom honors are due, and there is no shortage of merit for this great honor within the Valley.

Phil was raised in 1974 in Weymouth United Lodge, where he served as Worshipful Master in 1983-1984. He served as District Deputy Grand Master for the 8th Masonic District of Massachusetts in 2004-05, and was the Junior Grand Warden for the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts in 2010. He belongs to all four bodies of the Valley of Boston, as well as the bodies in the Valley of Southeastern Massachusetts. He was installed as the Most Wise Master for Mount Olivet Chapter of Rose Croix on April 9, 2011. He was elected as an Honorary Member of the Supreme Council for the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction on August 28, 2012.
